For more than 50 years, the Ford Mustang has remained one of the most exhilarating rides in America. A lot of drivers will be checking out the high-powered 2019 Ford Mustang GT. Eye-catching styling and sensational performance capabilities make it hard to beat. You can also take advantage of the muscle car?s exciting list of high-tech features. For 2019, Ford has also reintroduced the special-edition Mustang Bullitt. Let?s see how the 2019 Ford Mustang GT compares to the 2019 Mustang Bullitt.
Performance
Under the hood of the Mustang GT sits a 5.0-liter, Coyote V-8 engine. Direct injection helps it to produce a rousing 460 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. While some drivers will love churning gears with the six-speed manual transmission, others will prefer the lightning-quick shifts of the 10-speed automatic transmission. To give the limited-production Mustang Bullitt an extra dose of performance, Ford retuned its engine to produce 475 horsepower. Aside from packing a bit more power, the Mustang Bullitt also comes standard with the GT?s optional Performance package and an active exhaust. Furthermore, you can only get the Mustang Bullitt with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Appearance
The 2019 Ford Mustang GT is a true head turner. You?ll immediately notice its aggressive stance. Hood vents further accentuate the Mustang GT?s muscular appearance. On the rear, quad exhaust tips give the Mustang GT an especially aggressive character. Some of the exciting paint colors include Velocity Blue, Orange Fury, and Race Red. Although the Bullitt model is based off the Mustang GT, it features a number of exclusive styling cues. A classic Dark Highland Green paint job helps the Mustang Bullitt to stand out. Minimal badging also distinguishes the Bullitt model from the Mustang GT. Some of the other highlights include a blacked-out mesh grille, a special set of black Torq Thrust?style wheels, and red brake calipers.
Interior Features
While behind the wheel of the 2019 Ford Mustang GT, you?ll be surrounded by luxurious features. Leather heated and cool seats help you to remain comfortable throughout the year. Meanwhile, Ford?s high-resolution SYNC 3 interface with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto enables you to access your favorite smartphone apps. Some of the other niceties include a nine-speaker sound system, automatic climate control, and a backup camera. While the Mustang GT and the Mustang Bullitt come equipped with similar features, a few more goodies come standard on the Bullitt model. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and navigation are optional on the Mustang GT. The Bullitt model's cue-ball shifter adds another special touch.
Both of these exciting Mustang models deserve some serious consideration. If you want to experience a real-world comparison, contact us at Krieger Ford to schedule a test drive.
